Karolina Dejnicka

Karolina first became interested in translation as a graduate student, when she learned how few works of Turkish literature have been translated into English. She has a BA and MA from the University of Toronto, where her studies focused on the history and politics of Turkey and the surrounding regions. She is currently based in Boston.

Nefise Kahraman

Nefise is a Toronto-based literary scholar and translator with a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Toronto. She holds a BA in Translation Studies from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul. She is passionate about collaborative literary translation and, alongside English and Turkish, she also works in French and Persian.

Yasemin Mangal

Yasemin has always had a passion for both English and Turkish literature and started dabbling in translation during her last year of undergrad at the University of Toronto, where she completed a double major in English & French Literature with a minor in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations. She now resides in Istanbul and works as a full-time English teacher, while spending the rest of her free time pursuing her passion of translation.
